Advocacy Efforts At Work In Hartford!

Our voices were heard in Hartford this year!

As a result of our combined efforts, we were able to advocate for many important issues such as securing a two-year state budget that will stabilize the direct support workforce and private providers. We also ensured that the state would add people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities to their workforce development plans. This is a good first step to full inclusion for all Connecticut residents with I/DD. In the immortal words of Ted Kennedy, “The work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives, and the dream shall never die."
