Inclusion at the NC State Fair

There is a great sign of inclusion coming out of North Carolina. Their State Fair will now include an accessAbility Day for our friends on the Autism Spectrum.

The rides and games will operate with no lights or music playing. Music stages will only play acoustic sets with light amplification and the PA system will be used for lost visitor announcements.

I hope this trend continues and will be adopted here in Connecticut. To learn what other accommodations are planned, visit 2021 N.C. State Fair (ncstatefair.org)
