Legislative Work in Action

The 2021 Legislative Session ended June 9th. The Department of Economic Development will establish a community

development model for people with disabilities in order to create a competitive work force. Lawmakers also passed an update to the Connecticut Bottle Bill, expanding the list of the drink containers that require a deposit. The deposit will increase from 5 cents to 10 cents starting in 2024. This is good news for The Arc’s Donation Station, a bottle and can donation & redemption center, in Woodstock.
